PhotoMontage

My Photo-Montage images
are made of several
photographs I have taken
either as a straight photo
or specifically for the
Photo-Montaged image
I'm creating.

Original paintings are usually painted in acrylics on canvas or board. I start by transfering the drawing outlines to the canvas using a graphite sheet followed by a basic under-painting, building the detailed image on this.

Mixed Media

New Media paintings

My 'New Digital Media' paintings are usually first drawn in pencil on a sheet of cartridge paper. Then photographed or scanned, upload to computer and then painted using a Wacom Intous4 graphics tablet in Photoshop.

My Mixed Media images are usually a combination of photography, drawing and painting. Rather much the same as Photo-Montage but with added elements that I draw and paint into the scene.

Drawings are either studies for future paintings or done just for the fun of it. Some I would say are just doodles, what ever happens to come into my head at the time.
